We are praying for two crusades in the coming two weeks here in Malawi. One crusade this weekend and then the The Easter one which is on my heart and I can not wait for it.

The Lomoni Crusade a week ago was great as we saw so many people coming to Jesus. We had not less than 250 people coming to Jesus. We saw the Lord touching a young man who was mentally disturbed and could not go to school as he was so fierce. He pumped at our crusade and there he was, touched of Him. The following day he came for Sunday Service and now is back at school. One man who had the highest fever, you could feel it as you laid your hands on him was healed of Him istantly. New belivers found a place of worship with Gospel Evangelism Church.

The Nyezerera Crusade 23rd to 25th March was a special one. Friday night saw not less than 600 people being ushered into the Kingdom. We had children ministry during the day of Saturday and the night crusade was marred with heavy rains even before we finished the second part of the Jesus Film. Sunday morning came, multituteds came for the first Sunday Service. We were blessed with Matambo band which useses manual instruments. The worship was powerfull and great. I am trusting the Lord to trustaport this band to our Easter Crusade where I will be preaching for Ambossodor For Christ Church. On our way back home, the 4 by 4 got stuck in the thick mad. All the deafs just responded easily to the heavy mad. We had to manually lift the car after three hours of labour wit the help of the villagers!!

The orphans are being fed. The underprivilleged are being helped. More and more people with HIV/AIDS and on TB treatment are finding supplimentary food from us easily which is so scares from the Governemnt Institutions. We are providing such to more than 50 people minus children on every week.

We are transporting some cartoons of the supplimenatry food to the Central and the North for some of our worn out brothers and sister. This is part of the food aid programm to the villages.

It is the rainy season. Malaria is so rampat. Humbled to tell you that the hospital is doing a great work to alleviate this number one killer disease in Africa!

Continue to pray with us please as we keep on going into the enemies territory to snatch away those whom he thinks are his!!

Sorry for the bad pictures. These are the best we shot. We have a very old camera which is barely making it.

Thank you for your prayer and financialsupport

In His business,

Cheerful Hearts Foundation researches and manages its own projects, and it facilitates participation from overseas interns and volunteers. These interns and volunteers assist with interviews and several activities on our child labour project, assisting with the foundation’s office duties, others work in rural health services and schools, organizing HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns, assisting midwifery in local clinics to reduce maternal mortality etc contributing immensely to the local community institutions.

Cheerful Hearts Foundation is a registered non-profit organization based in Ghana, West Africa aimed at providing support for the less privileged children and rural community development through Education, Health, Cultural Sensitization and Human Right Advocacy projects. Cheerful Hearts Foundation (CHF) was co-founded in 2008, by Eric Opoku Agyemang and Bright Fiatsi. The organisation was founded as a result of them both experiencing firsthand the difficulty of obtaining an education, but also seeing the incredible benefits that education can bring. They set about to start an organisation that would contribute to the educational needs of orphans and the less privileged children in their local communities in Ghana as well to help improve to existing health and educational facilities in the deprived communities of Ghana.
Cheerful Hearts Foundation is based in Kasoa, a nearby community which is about 30 minutes away from the Capital City Accra. We work primarily in Kasoa and surrounding communities of the Awutu Senya District, Ghana.

Although a relatively young organisation, CHF has already had a significant impact in the communities including donation of medical supplies to the Kasoa Government Hospital to improve health delivery services (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvULnx4_wWY), providing over 50scholarships to orphans and less privileged children, organizing HIV/AIDS educational campaigns for schools within the communities, organising reading projects , quiz and Essay competitions and award programmes to enhance learning and improving educational standards in the communities we operate and many more. Here are some online news articles on some of our past activities educational programmes. http://www.modernghana.com/news/378893/1/let-work-together-to-improve-the-education-botwe.html , http://www.cheerfulheartsfoundation.org/education/cheerful-hearts-foundation-vodafone/ ,
http://ghana.gov.gh/index.php/news/regional-news/central/11089-let-work-together-to-improve-education-

Currently Cheerful Hearts Foundation aims at rescuing less privileged children who are being exploited by fishermen in the three main fishing villages around the Kasoa area namely: Nyanyano, Gomoa Fetteh and Senya Beraku. Due to poverty and illiteracy in these fishing communities more children are being lured or forced into fishing preventing these children to have access to an education. Most of these children are orphaned staying with other family which makes it easier for them to be enticed or drawn into fishing and trafficking. The foundation rescue team interviews child labourers and fishermen to find possible ways of rescuing these children from child labour and trafficking and provide them full scholarship to go to school of their choice. In 2011, the foundation rescued and provided scholarship to 15children to go to school. The foundation is making efforts to raise funding through Global Giving to help end child labour in these communities. You can support the project online here http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/rescue-100-children-from-child-labour-in-ghana/ or read more on this project on our website http://www.cheerfulheartsfoundation.org/education/child-labour-project-phase/

The foundation has a very friendly and committed team of unpaid staff who are working hard to touch the lives of the needy, improve health and educational services in the Awutu Senya District (where Kasoa is found) and requires the services of international volunteers from all over the world to contribute to the vision of this foundation whilst you learn the local cultures and gaining firsthand experience on actual social issues facing the communities. Volunteers and interns become part of the team on arrival since all staff are not paid hence classified volunteer staff and this help all volunteers to feel at home, share their views and contribute their ideas to assist the work of the foundation.

Our care ministry was opened as a result of the 12 years of the brutal war in Sierra Leone. Our ministry cares for children who have lost their parents as a result of the brutal civil war in our country. Some of these children end up as abandoned street children.

Already we have 36 children that we do take care of. We have taken the responsibility to clothing them and give them food, and in the future to give them basic educations. It is a large quantity of these children who are now orphans, we therefore open a Drop In Orphanage to cater for them every week in our community, we buy sandals, pay school fees, uniforms and see to their medicals facilities etc.

This orphanage was opened as a church after we moved by compassion after the war. After seeing that government by itself cannot be able to help or care for all those parentless and helpless children which their parent had been killed during the war. So after seeing that many children attending our church are orphans, we decided to open an orphanage through the little offering we have from the church services in order to care and house them. The orphanage has been established for 4 years now, and we have been caring for them. But we are finding it difficult all this past years to care for them due to the fact that there is a lack of the fund to run the home. The house which we rent as an orphanage, the monthly payment is $1800.00. We have not yet pay for the year of 2011, so we are asked to leave the house, but we still begging the house landlord to be patient with us. So the orphanage really going through a difficult time, and we shall be happy if we can have a generous philanthropist who can come into our aid details and take a look of the orphans.

I have been in the ministry for thirteen years now, and I thank God for what he has been doing in my life and the life of the people. We are called to preach the word of God to everyone in Sierra Leone and the world as whole.

We ask you to bless our orphanage and help spread the word.

The word of God tells us in Mark 9 ver. 37
Remain blessed in his service.

Greetings in the blessed name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This is our 2012 ministry activities for Compassionate Mission Center, Malawi;

1- CRUSADE-/ CHURCH PLANTING: This year, we plan to have 20 Crusades. This can only be done through financial help. Will you please pray with us as we evangelize Malawi with the Gospel and have Bible Believing, vibrant churches planted?

We are trusting the Lord for a good projector for showing the Jesus Film in the languages of the communities we go. Also for a Drum Set and a Key Board.

2- PRISON MINISTRY: There is a great need to intensify in this ministry. Currently we visit three prisons.

3- CHILDREN MINISTRY: It is no secrete, a lot of our children in Malawi are being taught witch craft. It is like a game. We need to engage a strong gear in our reaching out to them.

4- ORPHANAGE/ FEEDING PROGRAMM: We need to bring in more orphans at our orphanage. At least the number must come to 15. That means more blankets, more bed sheets, more mattresses, more supplies.

6- FEEDING PROGRAM: This program runs parallel with the orphanage. This year we purpose to feed 70 to 80 children Monday through Friday. Last year we used to send back some children as we did not have the capacity to feed them all. These are children who need to eat on a daily basis. We are trusting the Lord to provide for these children on a daily basis.

Utilities :

a- We need to pay for Water every month
b- We need to pay for electricity every month
c- We need to buy firewood for coking every month.

7- SUPPLIMENTARY FEEDING: People taking TB and ARV drugs and those who are so sick need supplementary feeding for them to pick up quickly. This is in terms of Pea-Nut Butter, milk etc.

8- HOUSE TO HOUSE FEEDING PROGRAM: We are trusting the Lord for a 50 Kg bag of maize per house hold per month in the coming 5 months. We have targeted extremely, poor 100 such house holds

9- HOSPITAL: We need a smooth running of the hospital. There is a need for drugs, and some medical equipment at the hospital every month..

We are believing the Lord for the Following at the Hospital:

a- To finish off the ceiling and all the final touches of the first building.
b- A good working Laboratory
c- A Scanning room
d- Seven computers for r every department
e- A Gen-Set in-case of blackouts
f- I have a list of items for the hospital in-specific for those interested in seeing health services improved at the hospital. Talk to us.

10- HOUSING THE HOMELSS: It is our hearts cry to provide descent, village housing for the homeless. We have uncounted number of the elderly and orphans who need such facilities.

11- SAFE WATER: I do not need to emphasize about the need for safe, clean water. Our people can not do anything without water. We have several places waiting for someone to provide them with bole holes. If you want your name can be printed on the poster of the bole hole.

12- CHILD SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM: These are orphaned, needy children. They need to be cared for and loved. There are so many of them praying for someone to come to their rescue.

13- SCHOL FEES FOR THE GIRL CHILD: As much as we see the needs of the so many orphaned boys, we want to see the girl orphaned child back to school and well educated. We are believing for 70 girls and 30 boys this year that we can pay for school fees. Will you please pray for these 100 children?

15- INCOME GENERATING ACTIVITY: We would love to venture into an income generating activity for Compassionate Missions Center. This is in a form of maize and rice milling machines. As that comes to pass, we shall be able to make our own flour, fortified likuni phala (special flour with vitamins). We shall be able to provide jobs to so many people who are unemployed.

As you pray for us, I look forward to partnering with you for the sake of the spreading of the Gospel.

caliber from the leader of the institutions.

The programme is meant to cover sub-locations, Katune, Maatha, Matiku and Iteta which has a
daily need through.
Volunteers: – School fees in the Nursery level has been paid for those years since 2006 and our record
proves that. If the programme can get reliable sponsors, the programme can stand firm and be stable to
support many.

The programme has organised women Groups who assist in the support of those vulnerable, disabled
and orphaned children within the community.

The Group assists the coordinator in the maturity of day to day activities of the children.

End Of 2011 Ministry Report, Compassionate Missions Center, Malawi

Dear Friends and Partners,
There was no way we could do what we did in the year 2011 without your sacrificial prayer and financial support. There were so many times I just kept opening my eyes wide opened seeing what the Lord was doing and wished you were here seeing what I was seeing. There is no such a big miracle than seeing a person surrendering his or her life to Jesus. That is what we kept on seeing every where we went with whatever means we used to reach to them. Yes, we saw the young, the old, both sexes coming to the Lord. He kept on setting them free, healing them of their infirmities….Once again, thank you for your supporting us. I look forward to your continued support in the year 2012. Here at Compassionate Missions Center, Malawi, we are so excited to see what our Father is about to do for each one of us, including you.

1 CRUSADES

The spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is in our blood. Reaching people with the Gospel, specifically in the remote areas and in places where the Gospel has least been preached. Every man must be given the chance to hear the Gospel of our Lord and its forgiving power. It is through this we plant churches in every crusade we conduct for the churches working closely with us. Some times we just preach and have the churches in the communities share the new converts. Last year we had 19 of such crusades. Many of the outreaches in Malawi are done in cities and towns and developing trading centers. We feel the call is to go into those places which are neglected and are hardly reached. That is what exactly you helped us to do in 2011.

2 PRISON MINISTRY

When we are not out in the remote, dusty areas of Malawi for the preaching of the Gospel, we are doing Prison Ministry. We have established structures there and what we do is to disciple, equip them with His word. In 2011 we also provided to the converts and non converts with some basic daily needs such as soap, lotion, clothes, drugs which the inmates badly need etc.

3 CHILDREN MINISTRY

In our quest to reach the un-reached people, Children Ministry has been part and parcel of the work. In 2011, when we were in the field, we conducted Children crusades during the day and main crusades during the night.

4 ORPHANAGE

It is so amazing seeing how the orphanage has already transformed lives of the children we are keeping. We simply call it a Home for All. Most of the children we have did not have a chance of eating three times a day. Did not have a descent place to stay. Could not reach the high education they have in the mean time! Did not have an opportunity of access to free, better medication as they have now. You should look at Bertha for example who is HIV positive and came to us a very sick girl who could hardly do anything. Today she is up and doing much better at school. The orphanage runs is parallel with the feeding program

5 FEEDING PROGRAMM

Last year we were feeding 50 to 60 children daily from Monday through Friday lunch and breakfast. Whilst the orphans have to eat supper and during the weekends. Most of the children we fed were orphans and many of them can hardly afford a meal per day. They depend on us. These are children from surrounding villages.

6 SUPPLIMENTARY FEEDING PROGRAMM

This is a program of feeding the very sick persons. Mainly those which are HIV/AIDS and TB positive and are taking ARV and TB drugs. They are mostly the worn out sick persons and at the point of death. In 2011 we had two groups of people which used to come for the supplementary feeding at our hospital .and those we went into their homes as they were bed ridden.

A- Children which are HIV positive and taking ARVs. We had 40 to 50 children every Wednesday in a fort night.

B- We had the aged in groups of 39, 45, and 52 coming every Friday. It has to be noted that the figures are growing rapidly that we fail to accommodate everyone who comes for the food supplementary program. The growing figures are because the Government is no longer able to provide supplementary Food Aid to its needy people.

7 HOUSE TO HOUSE FEEDING PROGRAMM

In 2011 we took food aid to the hungry, into their homes. This year, 2012, there is an estimated figure of 200,000 in the Southern Region of Malawi alone that they are going to be affected by hunger. We have already started seeing the effects of that at our Center. Where many people travel for kilometers just to ask for maize flour. 2011 entering 2012, we have given out tones of maize and few tons of rice, Beans, Cocking oil, salt, sugar to such hungry people, etc. Most of the beneficiaries were the chronically sick people, the disabled, the orphans, the elderly widowed etc. What a joy it has been for example, to see an elderly lady dancing just because you brought her some kilograms of maize, sugar, salt.

8 HOSPITAL

Malawi is going through so many tough times in the recent years. One of them is the provision of health services. There are no drugs in the Government hospitals. People go there for treatment and are told to go back without any treatment at all. Compassionate Mission Clinic is to avert the so many health challenging issues our targeted people, the poor of the poorest are meeting with. In 2011 we managed to avert deaths which could have occurred if we were not there as a hospital through OPD, Under Five Clinic, Family Planning, Voluntarily Counseling and Testing (VCT) Basic Laboratory Services Most of our clients at the hospital could not afford to pay the drug revolving fund fee . We ended up giving them free treatment.

9 PALIATIVE CARE

It was a blessing for us in 2011 to give hope to the dying of terminal diseases through palliative care in conjunction with St. Luke’s Hospital which provided with personnel and drugs and Compassionate provided with transportation, spiritual support and physical support to the terminally sick people. We were doing this every Wednesday of 2011.

10 MOBILE CLINC

In 2011 we had two mobile clinic outreaches n the deep remote areas. Bringing a «free hospital» to those who are very far from it in the remote areas. During the night we conducted crusades.

11 HOUSING THE HOMELESS

There was no way we could be silent or pay a blind eye to the plight of many who do not have a place to sleep. How could we do that, for example, to this lady and her orphaned children: Her only daughter was abducted magically for one and half months. She could not be traced. The poor old, widowed lady was literally staying under a tree. Yes, under a tree. People prayed for the «abducted» daughter She was a day later found in the brown grass alive. We ended up building a house for them. In 2011r we managed to build four houses for such kind of needy homeless people.

12 SAFE WATERS

There is no need to emphasis for the need for safe water in the poor communities where we go. Why should a child drown in a river in search for water? Why should there be continued water borne killing diseases, killing children and women? Why should women wake up at 2AM walk for so many kilometers , raped on the way just to get a bucket of water from a cistern which is so dirty? That has been history last year in three places where we drilled bole holes!

13 CHILD SPONSOPSHIP PROGRAM

Lukia is a young girl coming from a Muslim background. We took her when she was in Standard Two. One lady who heard about her started sponsoring her on a monthly basis. She finished her Form Four and is currently working in a small shop. Her plans are to become a nurse. Today she is the only learned person in her home villages. All her sisters and home girls have more than two children each. Lukia is Born Again Christian and loves the Lord so much. What a life changing program child sponsorship is. Last year I struggled to have more children being sponsored.

14 PAYING SCHOOL FEES FOR NEEDY STUDENTS

In 2011 we paid school fees for 32 students. Most of these are young girls who have no one to take care of them and without helping them; they would have been in early marriages and prostitution. Most of these take care of their siblings. What a chance the Lord has given us to pave a future for these by educating them.

15 MICROFINANCE PROGRAMM

The end result of the people we lift up is to empower them. So that they can be self reliant. They can support themselves and their families. Two years ago we started this with soft loans for our targeted people as most of them bought farm inputs such as fertilizer, seeds, etc. As we went into the second year of the program this growing and harvesting season, 46 persons benefitted for the same farm input services. Pray with us please as the rains are so bad this year with some parts planting and uprooting the plants three times for lack of enough rains.

16 CHRISTMASS WIT A DIFFERENCE

What a time we had during Christmas and on the 26. December! We provided meals to more than 120 people including children. We gave out 10kgs of maize to all those who came, blankets, mosquito nets clothes, peanut butter (chiponde). Note books, pencils and pens, soap, body lotion. Of-course the climax of it all was the sharing of God’s Word to those who came!

Come on the 26th December! We were stuck, no fuel. We needed to reach out to the very sick people. We just hired pushing bicycles and sent them their gifts. A blanket, mosquito net, maize, Sugar, rice, meat, soap, body lotion, etc. Out of 26 most sick people we planned to visit, we managed 23. We personally visited 3 people whom we shared with God’s Word.

To see the un-touched getting touched,

God’s Glory Children Foundation is a non-profit organisation with the aim to help orphaned and needy children in Ghana. We primarily work in Kasoa (close to Accra – the capital of Ghana) but are hoping to expand the work we do to more areas in this country.

We are a newly founded and small foundation that hopes to touch the lives of many. We are run locally and thus know all of the people we help and know their exact needs. Also through being run by locals we are in harmony with the local customs and cultures that many overseas organisations find a barrier to success while working in Ghana. This in turn means that we work very efficiently and do not have the cost of an overseas office. In addition, we pride ourselves in the fact that we have no paid position, which means that all donations go directly towards the projects that we run.

In Kasoa, we work in partnership with Maranatha prep-school where we are currently sponsoring 43 children, paying for their school and lunch fees and providing them with uniforms and textbooks. We are looking for more sponsors to help these children and with just 535 Ghana Cedi’s ($340, £210, €250) per year you could fully pay for a child’s education.

Many of the children we support would otherwise be working on the streets as they would not be able to pay their school fees. In Swuadro Bobekoma (a rural area also within the Central Region of Ghana) we are also supporting 25 children at the moment; however, due to the lack of funding they have not been able to start schooling as of now.

Furthermore, at the moment we receive volunteers from abroad who help teach the children at Maranatha prep-school. In the future we would also like to receive more volunteers also for other schools, the church and to help us in our quest to improve the health of the children we support, by placing the volunteers in the local hospitals. We are hoping to not only provide the children with health care but also educate them on how they can care for themselves and their families, for example through HIV/Aids awareness campaigns at schools.

At the moment we are raising funds to build a home for the orphaned and needy children, providing them with a roof over their heads and a family atmosphere. At this home we would also like to build a school to provide them with the needed education (without school fees) to give all of them the key to a brighter future.

Kind Regards,

Dear Brother

It is after much prayer and thoughtfulness that the love of God has constrained us to send you this note, hoping and trusting that it will find you in the best of health and rejoicing in the goodness of the Lord.
We had connections sometimes back, but somehow, the devil messed up with my email account and things got mixed up. This is due to the fact that we use public commercial computers.
Now that I have opened another one, I am request you once more, that you get in touch for the good of the destitute and orphaned children under our care and to the glory of God.
Remain praying that the Lord will impress you and respond within the shortest time limit.

Be blessed in all.
